Algeria gives 12 French embassy officials 48 hours to leave amid diplomatic rift

Algeria has ordered 12 French embassy officials to leave the country within 48 hours, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot said Monday. The move appears to be a response to the arrest of three Algerians in France suspected of being involved in the abduction of the exiled influencer Amir Boukhours, also known as “Amir DZ”.
