New Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney on Thursday declared that the era of deep ties between his country and its neighbor “is over” after US President Donald Trump announced “unjustified” 25 percent tariffs on all auto imports, promising retaliatory tariffs days before the two leaders are expected to talk.
