Pentagon chief orders 20% reduction to top-ranking military personnel

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth continued his overhaul of the US military on Monday, ordering a 20 percent cut to the country’s highest-ranking military officials, with further downsizing planned for general and flag officers, as well as the National Guard.
