Police release details about motorcyclist hospitalised in serious crash

The crash happened on the A361 outside the main entrance to Cotswold Wildlife Park on the afternoon of Sunday, April 6.

Crews from Witney Fire Station, along with South Central Ambulance Service and Thames Valley Police Roads Policing, were at the scene.

Thames Valley Police previously confirmed that the victim was a man, but have now confirmed further details on the motorcyclist.

The biker has been confirmed to be from Northamptonshire and is 44 years old, according to the force.

A new statement from a Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: “He remains in hospital with serious injuries.

“No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.”

A statement posted by Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue on Sunday said: “The road is likely to be closed for a period of time, so please avoid the area.”
